Private School Affiliation: A Win-Win-Win

Administrators and teachers of private schools have often lamented losing bright students with learning disabilities due to their inability to keep up. Through a partnership with Discovery Program of SC the struggling student can remain in their chosen school while addressing their foundational educational deficits.

They can continue in their mission to educate each student as well as have access to experts in the field of learning development and learning disabilities with no financial obligations

PRIVATE SCHOOL’S RESPONSIBILITY

• Refer struggling students
• Provide space
• Coordinate scheduling with therapists
  

DISCOVERY PROGRAM’S RESPONSIBILITY

• Provide appropriate intervention
• Administer all costs involved
• Coordinate scheduling with school
• Observe students in class
• Provide three workshops a year for teachers and/or parents
• Provide support for parents
• Refer families to other specialists as needed
• Attend parent-teacher meetings as needed
